I love the fantasy genre, and short fiction, but sometimes it’s not easy marrying the two. So here are a few ideas for you to use however you’d like. Flash fiction, short stories, micro-fiction, or even plots for novellas! Have fun!

  • A Fairy Godmother is not what she seems — she’s tattooed, wise-cracking, and street-wise and she’s come to save her charge. What is she saving them from?
  • Cinderella meets Red Riding Hood and they go off to vanquish a bad guy. Who is the bad guy and what have they done that justifies putting them away or even eradicating them outright?
  • The color of her blood was the least of my worries…
  • A person can partially manifest in another dimension, where she is a child’s ‘imaginary friend’. Who does she meet in that other dimension?
